A very interesting study for symptomatic patients who need statins

First I have to emphasize the role of med or paleo diet, exercise and stopping tobacco in the secondary prevention of CVD.
However for symptomatic patients statins could be useful for avoiding recurrence at least in the first two years after the first CV event. Unfortunately patients under statins experience painful side effects. Only a few papers addressed this issue and the Cleveland clinic team should be congratulated to study the different strategies to avoid quitting statins in patients with side effects.
