Water, thirst and energy
Indeed we are regularly mildly or severely dehydrated. It can depress your mood, decrease your perf, slow your brain and contribute to headache.
The proof is in the assertion: drink water to try the remedy. If you will feel better, exercise more energetically and recover very fast the proof is in your hands. In the narrative the only exotic assertion is this one: "A switch to water that’s been ultrapurified by reverse osmosis (plus “carbon polishing” and UV sterilization) has proved revelatory. It’s fully palatable and delicately sweet, without a hint of chlorine. I’m now the proud owner of a refillable three-gallon jug.".There is no proof of this revelation.
Instead try a very cheap and efficient way of drinking: taste water. If you prefer water full of HCO3 take it, if you prefer low mineralised water choose it and also try magnesium-enriched water if it tastes good. But be aware that the pleasant taste may change according to your needs. For workouts, I drink tap or low mineralised water with unrefined salt and I appreciate the quantity to add by tasting. Usually, I begin with 1 teaspoon for 750ml.
Questions to be fixed:
1/ yes the trips to the toilets are cumbersome during the night especially at the beginning of the rehydration process.
2/ yes the enemy of hydration is coffee, compensation is about 5 volumes.
4/ yes you need to hydrate regularly instead of massively once. Especially during workouts.
