Diet cholesterol is a molecule, in your blood there are only liver made lipoprotein particles: so diet cholesterol does not matter!

Hopefully, in this paper from Cleveland clinic, the message is right, but the explanations are not. Cholesterol is everywhere in mammals body and in our blood there is no free cholesterol, there are only particles which contain fat! Those particles are made by the intestine villi in the immediate postprandial phase and mainly by the liver. They contain triglycerides (glycerol esters of three fatty acids) and cholesterol ester of fatty acids...
So cholesterol in your blood is just a mean to measure the different particles which carry fat from the liver to tissues and back.
